Shop for Baking & Pastry Tools in Tools & Gadgets. Buy products such as Wilton Decorator Preferred Fondant, White Vanilla, 5lb at Walmart and save. I'm still surprised that so many Quora questions ask for value judgments. That's up to you. I used Pastry Pride quite a bit when catering in California.
What does Premium's Walmart PSP team do?
Walmart strives to deliver fantastic service for its customers in clean and organized stores which means only Preferred Service Providers (PSPs) are allowed to work inside their stores. Walmart relies on Premium to audit and stock products, build product displays, or reset signage and coupons.
Premium has been a PSP since the inception of Walmart’s program in 2017. Our 2,000+ Walmart-dedicated merchandising reps have completed projects for over 250 brands in locations nationwide.
How does scheduling work?
Premium’s Walmart-dedicated merchandising team offers a great work/life balance and is a great fit for students, parents, or retirees. Work generally occurs Monday – Friday between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., but you have the flexibility to create your own schedule within that time frame.
Retail Specialists are assigned to multiple Walmart locations based on geography and visit these same stores each week. Some tasks are date-specific, but we communicate those requirements in advance. Hours fluctuate week to week and by store based on the business needs of our clients. The busy holiday season always offers the opportunity to pick up extra hours, and earn more money!
What can I expect if I come on board as a Retail Specialist?
Merchandising is a physical activity. Retail Specialists stand for extended periods of time. You will need to bend and squat as you stock products on shelves. You will turn and reach for boxes, and at times will be required to lift up to 40 pounds. Upon a job offer, Retail Specialists need to pass a background check before starting work at Walmart.
Merchandising projects are pushed out through QTrax, our management platform. For each project, Premium provides step by step instructions to follow. You’ll need a smartphone or tablet to view these instructions, take in-store photos, and submit detailed reporting.
To help you succeed, Premium provides comprehensive training – both online and in-person – as well as specific certifications required to work inside Walmart stores. Premium Zone Leaders, Territory Managers, and other PSP Retail Specialists across the country offer support at every turn through many communication avenues including closed social media groups.
Get a jump start by reviewing the merchandising terms you’ll need to know.
Is there a dress code?
While inside the store, Retail Specialists wear a Premium polo shirt, name badge, black or khaki pants and closed-toed shoes.
How can I excel at Premium?
In addition to placing products in aisles or auditing product stock, Retail Specialists are the face of Premium in Walmart. You’ll excel if you:
Love solving problems. You build lasting relationships with Walmart store managers and associates. You look for creative ways to improve and often go above and beyond for others.
Thrive on independence. You’re organized, dedicated, and love tackling a project from start to finish. Premium is your support system, but it’s up to you to get the job done – even when no one is watching.
Feel pride in your work. As you’ll be representing some of the biggest brands in retail, it’s important that the shelf is stocked and every product is in its proper place.
What's it like working for Premium?
“I truly love this job above all others I have had throughout my career. From management to training, to my direct supervision, everyone is great!”
“I enjoy the variety of assignments, along with the flexibility to create my own schedule. I love feeling like a valued member of a big Premium family.”
“We are given the benefit of the doubt and stewardship of our stores. The autonomy is liberating. I love checking to see if sales increased due to my ideas, and when the manager thanks me for the effort I put in.”
Are there opportunities for growth?
Yes! Demonstrating passion and a willingness to learn in part-time roles can open doors to full-time opportunities. Premium always taps into our current employee base first when new opportunities are created.

Erica, I just did some Google-ing on Pastry Pride. It is a commercial product and can be purchased at most warehouse clubs - Sam's calls it Rich's Bettercream, you'll need to ask for it at the bakery counter. I also saw a comment where someone purchases it from Baskin Robbins.
If you have a restaurant supply house near you that may be a good source also.

I got a sample of an icing this past weekend from my local cake specialty store. The woman said her son has a Baskin Robbins and this is the icing they use. I want to say she called it some Pride. It was already whipped like a buttercream. I felt it still had that shorting taste to it. So I put more confection sugar and a little flovor, Creme Bouquet. It got a little sweeter. It was smooth.
So this product doesn't need anything added to it, just mixed in the mixer?? That sounds easy enough. I know Sam's is now selling buckets of their icing, and whole cake layers.

Thank you all for posting this good information, now I know what PP is.

Pastry Pride is sold in Smart and Final stores if you have them where you live. Find it in the frozen desserts isle. It is sold frozen in quart sized containers, like milk. I use it often. You thaw it in in your fridge over a 24 hour period shake it well an pour it in your mixer. You can add any extracts or colors you want during the whipping process. Like whipped cream you don't want to overwhip or you'll end up with butter. So don't walk away while it is whipping. This product whips to about 3 times it's original size. They also sell a slightly higher in fat product called Frostin Pride in the same area. I like it slightly better because it has a more vanilla flavor and ices smoother, but both products are wonderful. Frostin Pride is slightly more expensive and doesn't create as high a volume whipped.

Kari, Sam's Club - I haven't purchased it there but that's what I learned from other decorators.

Rima said:Yes, Sam's Clubs. BetterCream is actually more tasty than Pastry Pride, though a little more expensive. It smooths out perfectly!
